		<description>Benjamin, the title of your post says it all. Public Enemies, more than anything else, portrays us and our romantic notions of life, through Dillinger, as life (Purvis and co.) catch up with him. In that way, it is a great film because it understands why people like Dillinger gain a folk status.
The close-up is Mann’s greatest strengths, and one of the most sublime uses is in Collateral, in the final chase scene, as Vincent is trying to decide which train to pick. You can find the video here –
